ASSIGNMENT TITLE: CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR ASSISTANCE ON ALL PROCUREMENT ACTIVITIES UNDER TANZANIA – ZAMBIA TRANSMISSION INERTER CONNECTOR PROJECT

The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania through TANESCO has received fund from the world bank toward the cost of the consultancy services for planning and overseeing gender activities under Tanzania Zambia Transmission Interconnector Project intends to apply of the proceeds for consulting services
The consulting services aiming to support the project Manager of the Tanzania – Zambia Transmission Interconnector in planning coordination and control of the procurement activities from its start to the time its completed. S/HE will be responsible for ensuring that the requirement of the project in line with procurement manual are fulfilled S/HE will also support the project monitoring function to ensure that the project is concluded successfully
The Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) now invites Eligible Individual Consultancy To Express Their Interest In Providing The Services , Interested Individual Consultants Should Provide Information Demonstrating That They Have The Required Qualifications And Relevant Experience To Perform The Services The Short listing Criteria Are
ix. A university degree in procurement business administration commerce economics with extensive and demonstrated experience in procurement in all aspects of procurement of goods non-consulting services, works and consulting services
x. A strong experience of at least 6 years general experience in procurement service with 3 years in public sector and at least 2 years working in similar energy project financed by multilateral etc with a demonstrated strong track records
xi. Previous experience in processing high value contracts subject to international competition and work with multi-sectoral team are added advantages
xii. Working knowledge of the PPDA procurement rules and procedures
xiii. A high level of interpersonal and management skills and ability to work independently, unsupervised and also with team in the organization at levels
xiv. Must be able to work under pressure with tight deadlines
xv. Computer knowledge and skills in MS World, MS Excel is mandatory requirements
xvi. Must be able to perform the assignment related to procurement in fair unbiased way and
xvii. With proven integrity and confidentiality in handling public resources and in executing duties
The attention of interest individual consultants is drawn to section III Paragraph 3.14, 3.16 and 3.17 of the world bank procurement regulations for IPF Borrowers July 20116 setting forth the world bank policy on conflict of interest
Individual consultant will be selected in accordance with the quality and cost based selection method set out in the procurement regulations

Qualified and interested candidates who meet the requirement qualifications and experience are invited to submit update CV and cover letter explaining their motivated and why are suited for the assignment to TANESCO PIU Before 4th December 2020 at 14;30 HRS
Interested individual consultants must provide information’s indicating that they are qualified to perform the services by submitting consultant’s profile, description similar, assignment, experience in similar condition and availability of appropriate skills
Expression of interest must be submitted online through TaNEPS (www.taneps.go.tz) before 14:30 hours and therefore interested individual consultant are required to register will be opened promptly thereafter online TaNEPS and therefore interested consultants are required to registered with TaNEPS through PPRA website
