THE UNITED REPUBLIC OF TANZANIA MINISTRY OF WORKS, TRANSPORT AND COMMUNICATION TANROADS REGIONAL MANAGER’S OFFICE DAR ES SALAAM
This invitation for tenders follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this Project which appeared in the PPRA Journal, Tenders Portal of 31st May, 2019 and TANROADS Website.
The Government of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) Dar es Salaam Region during the Financial year 2019-20. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the various maintenance works as described below.
The TANROADS Regional Manager’s Office Dar es Salaam now invites sealed tenders from eligible National Civil Engineering contractors registered with the Contractors’ Registration Board (CRB) in various Classes as detailed hereunder. The Contractors must also meet all qualifications criteria as specif1ed in the tender documents.
Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Tendering procedure specified in the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 Government Notice No. 446 and is open to National Tenderers only as def1ned in the Regulations unless otherwise stated in the Tender Data Sheet.

Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Secretary of the delegated TANROADS Regional Tender Board, Dar es Salaam Region, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays
A complete set of Tendering document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given below and upon payment of a non = refundable fee of Tanzanian shillings Two Hundred Thousands Only (Tshs. 200,000/=). Payment should either be by Cash or Banker’s Cheque payable to TANROADS Regional Manager’s office, Dar es Salaam Region.
All tenders must be accompanied by a Bid Security/Bid securing Declaration in the format provided in the Tendering Documents
All tenders in one original plus three copies, properly f1|led in, and enclosed in plain Envelopes must be delivered to the address below (Attention The Secretary, Delegated TANROADS Regional Tender Board) at or before Friday, 5th July, 2019 at 1030hours local time Tenders wiIl be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the TANROADS Regional Manager’s Office, Dar es Salaam Region.
Late tenders, portion of tenders, electronic tenders, tenders not received, Bid not opened and not read out in public at the bid opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstance
