TANZANIA INTERNATIONAL PETROLEUM RESERVES LTD (TIPER)
INVITATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION FOR PROVISION OF CLEARING AND FOWARDING SERVICES

1. Tanzania International Petroleum Reserves Ltd (TIPER) is a bulk fuel storage facility with its share divided equally between the Government of Tanzania and Oryx Energies SA. The Company office is located at Kigamboni Industrial Area, Depot site-plot 1, Dar es Salaam-Tanzania.
2. TIPER hereby invites via National Competitive Bidding (NCB) technically qualified and reputable Clearing and Forwarding Agent(CFA) to bid for PRE-QUALIFICATION OF BIDDERS FOR PROVISION OF CLEARING AND FOWARDING SERVICES.
3. Firms eligible to bid must be registered a Clearing and Forwarding Agent(CFA) with a valid customs license and certificates issued by the Tanzania Shipping Agencies Corporation (TASAC) and the Tanzania Freight Forwarders Association (TAFA). Prospective bidders must also provide evidence of at least 5 years of experience working with reputable organizations.
4. Bidders who don’t meet conditions in part 3 above are not be eligible to bid for this tender.
5. Interested and eligible bidders may request electronic copy of tender document by sending application letters with their respective customs licenses, TASAC and TAFA certificates through the following email: [email protected] or may obtain a hard copy of tender document at TIPER PROCUREMENT OFFICE on Mondays to Fridays at 10:00AM to 16:00PM.
6. All hardcopies of bids must be properly filled in and hardcopies enclosed in plain envelopes marked Tender No: TP/08/2021/NCB/S/009 for PRE-QUALIFICATION OF BIDDERS FOR PROVISION OF CLEARING AND FOWARDING SERVICES. All bid documents must be addressed and delivered to Tanzania International Petroleum Reserves Ltd, P.O. Box 2608, Kigamboni, Dar es Salaam. The deadline for submission of Tender documents will be 10.30 am local time on 6 August, 2021.
7. All tenders (one original and one copy) respectively must be enclosed in a single envelop, addressed and delivered to the Tender Committee Secretary, Tanzania International Petroleum Reserves Ltd (TIPER), PO. Box 2608, Kigamboni, Dar es Salaam
8. Bids opening will be conducted in the presence of tender committee only, formed by the company. There shall be NO public opening of bids.
9. Late bids, portion of bids, electronic bids will not be considered for evaluation irrespective of circumstances.
10. TIPER reserves the right to accept or reject any tender and does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any bid.
