REQUEST FOR PRICE QUOTATION
The Kingdom of Belgium through Enabel and the Government of Tanzania through the Ministry of Water, are implementing a water and sanitation project in Kigoma region. This is a 5-year project which runs through June 2022 and aims to promote provision of sustainable water supply services in the region. This intervention has three key result areas namely: 1) sustainable water supply operations and maintenance, 2) water supply scheme rehabilitation and extension and 3) promotion of safe hygiene practices in domestic water management. Under the first result area, the Water and Sanitation Kigoma Region Project (WASKIRP) is now requesting for price quotations from suitably qualified individuals and corporate entities to carry out the following:
Consultancy to carry out Environmental Impact Assessment
The overall purpose of this assessment is to provide the project with the key environmental factors to be considered during the planning and construction of the water supply networks under WASKIRP.
Qualifications and experience required:
· A graduate (Master degree level) in social, environmental and economic sciences, and/or equivalent
· A minimum of 10 years of practical experience in ESIA assignments of which partly include social development projects including water, sanitation and hygiene projects
· The successful candidate will provide a traceable record of relevant experience in similar assignments
Duration of the assignment: 24 days beginning November 2019
Drilling and Pumping Tests of Production Boreholes
The project seeks to engage qualified drilling companies with experience and appropriate equipment to drill and undertake pumping tests for 2 production boreholes at Kabingo in Kakonko District in Kigoma region. The successful tenderer will be furnished with a comprehensive hydrogeological study report of the area. The contractor shall be required to drill test holes which shall later be reamed for further development.
Interested drilling companies shall be required to demonstrate ownership of drilling and pumping test equipment, experience in drilling production boreholes of not less than 8inch internal diameter.
