CONSTRUCTION OF RAPID SAND FILTER AT MANGAMBA
IN MTWARA TOWN
This invitation for prequalification follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in the Tanzania Procurement Journal dated 04th June, 2019.
The Government of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the MTWARA URBAN WATER SUPPLY AND SANITATION AUTHORITY (MTUWASA) during the financial year 2019/2020. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the CONSTRUCTION OF RAPID SAND FILTER AT MANGAMBA IN MTWARA TOWN.
The MTWARA URBAN WATER SUPPLY AND SANITATION AUTHORITY (MTUWASA) intends to pre-qualify contractors for Construction of Rapid Sand Filter at Mangamba in Mtwara town. It is expected that invitations to tender will be made in July, 2019.
Pre-qualification will be conducted through the procedures specif1ed in Regulation 119 of the Public Procurement Regulations, Government Notice 446 of 201 3, and is open to all applicants as dehned in the Regulations.
Interested applicants may obtain further information from and inspect the prequalification documents at the office of secretary of the MTUWASA tender board, Mtwara Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority, Railway/industrial Area, P. O. Box 141 Mtwara, Tanzania. Phone number 023-2333596 Fax 023-2333079 from 07:30am to 03:30 on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
A complete set of prequalification documents in English may be purchased by interested applicants on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of one hundred thousand Tanzania Shillings only (100,000/=) or equivalent amount in freely convertible currency. Payment should either be by Cash, Banker’s Draft, or Banker’s Cheque, payable to MANAGING DIRECTOR, MTUWASA.
All applications one original plus two copies, properly filed in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address Secretary of the Tender Board, Mtwara Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority, Railway/industrial Area, 20.86): 141 Mtwara, Tanzania, Phone number 023-2333596 Fax 023-2333079 at or before Monday 15th July, 2019 at 11:00 am. Applications will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of applicants’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the Mtwara Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (MTUWASA) Board Room, Industrial area, P. 0. BOX 141, Mtwara, Tanzania.
Late applications, portion of applications, electronic applications, applications not received, applications not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
