EXTENSION OF BID SUBMISSION DEADLINE

1. THE GOVERNMENT OF UNITED REPUBLIC OF Tanzania has received a credit from the international development association in various currencies towards the coast of the Zanzibar Urban Services Project.  Its intended that part of the process of this credit will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for supply ICT and Survey Equipment for PTIU and Pemba Town Council.  The ministry of finance and planning Zanzibar initially invited sealed bids from eligible bidders though a procurement notice on 9th December with a deadline for submission of bids  9th January 2020

2. The ministry of finance and planning Zanzibar informs all interested bidders and the general public that the bids submission deadline has been extended to 15th January 2020 and bids will be opened in public on promptly on the same date

1. Interested suppliers should demonstrate minimum qualifications to prove their capacity to perform the contract

i. The bidders shall furnish documentary evidence that it meets one of the following financial requirements
The average annual turnover for the last three shall be equivalent or more that the bidders bid price
OR
A letter from a reputable bank listing bank stating to provide line of credit equivalent to the bidders bide price. This evidence shall be submitted together with the bid
ii. Experience and Technically capacity
The bidders shall furnish documentary evidence (signed contract or signed delivery notes to demonstrate that it meets the following experience requirements bidders must provide evidence of having executed a combination of multiple contracts that has 80% of the value of this contract of similar supply of items within the period of last 3 years

3. Bidding will be conducted thought the national competitive bidding procedures as specified un the world bank’s guideline procurement of goods works and non-consulting  services under IBRD AND IDA Credits & Grants by World bank borrowers dated Jul 2014 procurement guidelines and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the procurement guidelines and is opened to all bidders as defined in the procurement guideline in addition please refer to paragraph 1.6 and 1.7 setting for the world bank policy of conflict of interest

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from project coordinator Zanzibar urban services project vuga  streets sea view wing, P.O. Box 874 Email [email protected] telephone +25542235128 and inspection the bidding document during the office hours from 8:00 to 15:00 pm at the address given below

5. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written  application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TZS 100,00/=.  The method of payment will be thought direct deposit to account number 021101000176 the account name is Ministry of Finance Revenue Account at People bank of Zanzibar.  The document will be sent by electronic mail after evidence of payment or physical collected by the supplier’s representatives at project management unit office below mentioned address

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below or before Wednesday 15th January 2020 at 10:00 am Zanzibar time electronic bidding will not be permitted late bids  will be rejected bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below on 15th January 2020 10:00 Zanzibar time

7. All bids must be accompanied by bid security in Tanzania Shillings or equivalent in freely convertible currency in the amount specified in section 2 of this invitation of bids above
