INVITATION FOR TENDERS NO. AE/001/2019/20/KGR/W/ 01,02,18,19, 26 AND 32 FOR ROUTINE AND RECURRENT MAINTENANCE WORKS, PERIODIC MAINTENANCE AND REHABILITATION WORKS ON TRUNK ROADS AND REGIONAL ROADS
Financing:
The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania through the Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) intends to use part of the proceeds from the Road Funds and Development allocations during the FY 2019/20 to cover eligible payments under various contracts for carrying out of Routine and recurrent maintenance works. periodic maintenance works, rehabilitation works, on regional and trunk roads in Kagera Region.
The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania through the Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) through the Regional Manager’s Office TANROADS Kagera expect to receive funds to meet costs for carrying out of Routine and recurrent maintenance works, periodic maintenance works. rehabilitation works on regional and trunk roads in Kagera Region and intends to use part of funds to engage Service providers, suppliers and contractors for provision of services and execution of road works in FY 2019/20.
Participation:
The Regional Manager TANROADS Kagera acting for and on behalf of the Chief Executive of TANROADS now invites sealed tenders for carrying out of Routine and recurrent maintenance works. periodic maintenance works, rehabilitation works on Trunk and Regional roads in Kagera Region during third cycle procurement in FY 2019/20. Participation is on equal terms basis to all eligible Civil Works Contractors fully registered with Contractors Registration Board (CRB) for works in classes indicated below. The Contractor must also meet all qualification criteria as specified in the tender documents‘
Works to be undertaken:
The proposed works to be undertaken under this tender notice are divided into Six (6) separate and independent tenders and each tender consists of one or several packages as indicated m Table A below:

The Regional Manager TANROADS Kagera will pay eligible Contractors against the invoices to be raised by the Contractor. The amount to be paid will be based on the actual quantities of works executed at a fixed unit rate to be entered by the Contractor in the Bill of Quantities No additional payment will be done due to fluctuation of price, exchange rate etc.

A complete set of tender documents may be purchased by any interested tenderer upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tshs 50,000 (Tanzania shillings Fifty Thousand Only) for tenders except for tenders no.AE/001/2019/20/KGR/W/26 and AE/001/2019/20/KGR/W/32 which will be purchased for Tshs. 100 ,000/= (One Hundred Thousand) through Government’ s e-Payment Gateway System (GePG) on CRDB, NMB Bank, Tigo Pesa or Mpesa after receiving a Control Number from TANROADS Kagera, P,O. Box 2. Bukoba for all the tenders. Additional sets of the tender documents may be purchased from the same address at the same price.
Tenders in one original and two copies properly Filled and marked appropriately should be enclosed in one plain sealed outer envelope clearly marked with tender number and name. All tenders properly filled and enclosed in plain sealed envelopes must be delivered to the Regional Manager’s Office TANROADS Kagera or be sent by registered mail to the Secretary, Delegated TANROADS Regional Tender Board Kagera Region. P.O. Box 2. Bukoba, so as to reach him before the closing date. The bid validity period shall be 120 days from the date of bid opening for all tenders. Tenders must be submitted in plain and sealed envelopes and marked as specified in the instructions to Tenderers. Tenders should be addressed to “The Secretary, Delegated TANROADS Regional Tender Board, Kagera Region, P.0. Box 2 Bukoba”
The deadline for tender submission is on 04th November, 2019 at 10. 00 hrs local time as indicated in Table “A” above. All tenders will be opened and read out in public immediately thereafter at the same address.
Bidders are advised to visit the works sites at their own costs and arrangements or on the date specified in the tender document.
The Regional Manager TANROADS Kagera is not bound to accept the lowest or any tender.
Telegraphic, Telex, Telefax E-mails and late tenders will not be accepted regardless of circumstances.
