FOR ROUTINE AND RECURRENT MAINTENANCE, PERIODIC MAINTENANCE, SPOT IMPROVEMENT WORKS AND BRIDGE MAJOR REPAIR WORKS.
INVITATION FOR TENDERS
1. This invitation for tender follows the General Procurement Notice for these projects, which sent to PPRA for Advertisement in the Journal and Tender Portal on 17th May, 2019
2. The Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) through the Regional Manager’s Office Tanga expects to receive funds for the Financial Year 2019 – 2020 from the “Road Fund” towards the cost of Maintenance of Trunk and Regional Roads in Tanga Region and intends to apply part of the proceeds of these funds to cover eligible payments under contracts in paragraph 3 below;-
3 The Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) through the Regional Manager’s Office Tanga now invites sealed Tenders from eligible National Civil Works Contractors registered with Contractors Registration Board (CRB) in classes as shown for each project hereunder;-
4. Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive bidding procedures specified in the Public Procurment (Goods, Works, Non Consultant Service and Disposal of Public Assets by Tender) Regulations, 2013 – Goverment Notice No. 446, Regulation. 2016 of Government Notice No. 333 Published on 30/12/2016 and are open to National Tenders only as defined in the Regulations.
5. Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender Documents at the Regional Manager’s office TANROADS Tanga, Gofu area, Tanga City, P.O Box 5021 – Tanga, and Telephone No. +255 27-2977101/2977100 from 08:00am to 04:30pm on Monday to Friday inclusive except on Public holiday.
6. A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English and additional copies may be purchased by interested Tenderers at the above office, on submission of a written application to the address given on paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee as indicated in the table above. Payment should be made through GEPG subject to confirmation of payment control Number issued by Regional Manager, TANROADS – Tanga, P.O Box 5021 – Tanga.
7. All tenders must be accompanied by a Tender securing declaration in the format provided in the Tendering documents.
8. All tenders in one original plus two copies (2) properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the Secretary, Delegated TANROADS Regional Tender Board – Tanga, Gofu area P.O Box 5021 – Tanga, at or before 10:00hrs local time on Friday 23rd August,2019. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in Public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who will attend the opening meeting at the Regional Manager’s Office conference room, TANROADS – Tanga.
9. Late tenders, partial tenders, electronic tenders, tenders not received, tenders not opened and tenders not read out in public at
the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the Circumstances
