SUPPLY OF SAFETY (PROTECTIVE) GEARS UNDER FRAMEWORK CONTRACT

1. The Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TAN ESCO) has set aside funds for its operations during financial year 2019/20 and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this fund to cover eligible payments under the contract for which this invitation is issued.
2. TANESCO now invites sealed tenders from eligible tenderers for Supply of Safety (Protective) Gears under Framework Contract.
3. The scope of Safety (Protective) Gears under Framework Contract categorized into twelve (12) Lots as indicated below, tenderers are free to tender for any complete lot or combination of lot(s) of their choice, however the maximum number of award for each bidder shall be three (3) lots. Contract shall be awarded to successful tenderers whose tenders will be found to be the lowest evaluated. In-complete or partial tenders submitted by the tenderers will be rejected. The evaluation and award will be carried out either on the basis of an individual lot or a combination of lots

4. Tendering will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding Procedures as specified in the Public Procurement Act, 2011 and its Regulations, 2013 read together with Public Procurement (Amendment) Act and Regulations of 2016 and is open to all bidders as defined in the Regulations.
5. Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Document at the office of the Secretary of the
Tender Board, TAN ESCO Umeme Park Building, Ground Floor, Tender Room G04, Ubungo area, along Morogoro Road, P.0.BOX 9024 Dar es Salaam.

6. A Complete set ofTendering Document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interestedTenderers on the submission of a written
application to the address given under paragraph five (5) above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 100,000.00 (Tanzania Shillings One
Hundred Thousand only) through National Microfinance Bank (NMB) upon receipt of reference number from TAN ESCO.
7. All Tenders must be accompanied by tender Securing Declaration in the format provided in Section IX in the Tendering Document.
8. All tenders in one original plus three (3) copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes clearly marked “TENDER No. PNOOl/2018-19/
HQ/G/ 101 FOR SUPPLY OF SAFETY (PROTECTIVE) GEARS UNDER FRAMEWORK CONTRACT” (NOT TO BE OPENED BEFORE 31st July, 2019 at 10:30 Hrs) must be delivered to the SECRETARY, TAN ESCO TENDER BOARD P.O. BOX 9024, DAR ES SALAAM to reach him at the office of the Secretary
Tender Board, TAN ESCO Office, Ground floor, TANESCO Tender Room G04, Umeme Park Building Ubungo on or before 31 th July, 2019 10:30Hrs.
9. Deadline for submission will be on 31th July, 2019 at 10:30 Hrs. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening in the Conference Room G 06 located at Ground floor, TAN ESCO Office, Umeme Park Building, Morogoro Road – Ubungo.
10 Late Tenders, Portion of Tenders, Electronic Tenders, Tenders not received, Tenders not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
