INVITATION FOR TENDERS (IFT)

1. This Invitation for Tender follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for the Projects which appears on Tender Portal and
Procurement Journal dated 07/06/2019
2. Tanzania Rural and Urban Roads Agency (TARURA) has received funds through its Road Fund and Development and intends to apply part of these funds to cover eligible payments under the contract for the below mentioned works during the Financial year 2019/2020
3. TARURA Iringa Region now invites sealed tenders from eligible National Contractors Registered in Civil Works Class Seven (7) and above as indicated in the table below;

4. Bidding is being conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedure as specified in the Public Procurement Act, 2011, The Public Procurement Regulations 2013 and its amendments, 2016 and Government Notice No.446 of 2013 and is open to all Tenderers as defined in the Regulations unless otherwise stated in the Tender Data Sheet
5. Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering documents at the office of the Secretary of Delegated TARURA Regional Tender Board, TARURA Iringa, (Within Old Tanroads offices) nearly Magereza, P.O. Box 1027 Iringa, from 07:30A.m. to 03:30P.m, Monday to Friday except on public holidays and week end days.
6. A complete set of Tendering documents in English and additional sets may be purchased by Interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given at paragraph five (5) above and upon payment of a non refundable fee of Tanzania Shilling One Hundred Thousands only (TZS 100,000.00) for the works in the adverts. Payment should be payable through the following Account detail after receiving Control number issued by Accountant from TARURA Iringa Region;

7. All Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 days after Bid opening, and must be accompanied by a “Bid Securing Declaration” and must be submitted in the format provided in the Bidding document and shall be clearly addressed to: Regional Coordinator, TARURA- Iringa Region, P. O. Box 1027, Iringa
8. All tenders must be submitted in one original plus Three matching copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in the plain envelopes must be delivered to the above address paragraph five (5) at or before 10:00A.m on Thursday July 25th, 2019.
9. The deadline for submission of Bids is at or before 10:00A.m and will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in presence of Tenderers representatives who choose to attend in the opening ceremony at The Regional Coordinator, TARURA, P. O. BOX 1027 – Iringa
10. Site visit day and meeting point will be as shown on column six (6) of the table above from 09:00A.m at respectively Council Manager’s offices followed by Pre tendering meeting.
11. Late tenders, portion of tenders, electronic tenders, and tenders not received and tenders not opened and read out in the public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
