TANZANIA RURAL AND URBAN ROADS AGENCY (TARURA)
1. This invitation for tenders follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this Project which appeared in the PPRA Journal and Tenders Portal of 11th June, 2019 and TARURA Website.
12. The Government of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Tanzania Rural and Urban Road Agency (TARURA) – Coast Region during the financial year 2019-2020. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the various maintenance works as described below.
3. The TARURA Regional Coordinators Office – Coast Region now invites sealed tenders from eligible National Civil Engineering contractors registered with the Contractors’ Registration Board (CRB) in various Classes as detailed hereunder. The Contractors must almost meet all qualifications criteria as specified in the tender documents.
4. Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Tendering procedure specified in the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 with amendment – Government Notice No. 446 and is open to National Tenderers only as defined in the Regulations unless otherwise stated in the Tender Data Sheet.
5. The scope of works will involve the following approximate major activities:
6. Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Secretary of the delegated TARURA Regional Tender Board, Coast Region, from 8 am to 3:30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.

A complete set of Tendering document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given below and upon payment of a non – refundable fee of Tanzanian shillings One Hundred Fifty Thousands Only (Tshs. 150,000/=) and for Special Group will be Tshs One Hundred Thousand Only (100,000/=) Payment should through Control Number payable to ACC. NO. 53010001080 TARURA Collection Account NMB – Kambarage and submit the pay sleep.
8. All tenders must be accompanied by a Bid securing Declaration in the format provided in the Tendering Documents.
9. All tenders in one original plus three copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain Envelopes must be delivered to the address below(Attention: The Secretary, Delegated TARURA Regional Tender Board) at or before Friday, 26th July, 2019 Phase I and Monday, 29nd July, 2019 Phase II at 10:30hours local time for serial number 1 to 22 phase I and 23 to 36 phase II respectively. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the TARURA Regional Coordinator’s Office, Coast Region at Teachers Association Building (CWT) Second Floor (2nd).
11. Late tenders, portion of tenders, electronic tenders, tenders not received, Bid not opened and not read out in public at the bid opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstance.
