INVITATION FOR TENDERS (IFT)
1. This Invitation for tenders follows the General Procurement Notice for these Projects, which appeared in Procurement Journal ISSN: 1821-6021 VOL XII-NO. 24 dated 11th Tuesday June,2019.
2. The Tanzania Rural and Urban Roads Agency (TARURA) has set aside funds for the operation of TARURA TANGA REGION during the financial year 2019-2020. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the funds will be
used to cover eligible payments under the contracts for the implementation of various roads maintenance projects at Bumbuli District Council, Handeni District Council, Handeni Town Council, Kilindi District Council,Korogwe District Council, Korogwe Town Council, Lushoto District Council,Mkinga District Council, Muheza District Council, Pangani District Council and Tanga City Council.
3. The Tanga Regional Coordinator on behalf of the Chief executive Officer of TARURA now invites sealed Tenders from eligible National Civil Works Contractors registered with Contractors Registration Board (CRB) in various
classes as shown below to bid the following tenders.
4. Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Tendering specified in the Public Procurement Act 2011 and the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 – Government Notice No. 446 and its amendments 2016
and are open to all Tenderers as defined in the Regulations.
5. Interested eligible tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the tendering documents at the Regional Coordinator’s Office TARURABombo Area opposite College of Environment Health , Tanga P.O.
BOX 5242 – Tanga, and email: [email protected] from 08:00 am to 04:00 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
6. A complete set of tender document(s) in English and additional copies may be purchased by interested Tenderers at the above office, on submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee as indicated in table above. 7. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Security declaration in the format provided in the Tendering documents.
8. All Tenders in one(1) original plus two (2) copies dully marked “ORIGINAL and COPY”, property filled in and enclosed plain envelopes must be delivered to the following address “the Secretary, Delegated TARURA Regional Tender Board– Tanga, Bombo Area opposite College of Environment Health , P.O. Box 5242 Tanga, at or before 10:00 Hours local time on 30th July , 2019. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in
public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening meeting at Regional Coordinator’s Office.
9. The site visit will be on Monday 16th July, 2019 at 09.00 am local hours at respective councils and costs of visiting the site shall be the Tenderers own expenses.
10. Pre-bid meeting will be conducted on Wednesday 17th July, 2019at 10.00 am local hours in the Regional Coordinator’s office.
11. Late Tenders,portion oftenders, electronic tenders,and tenders not received,tenders not opened at theTender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
