Project Title: National Consultancy for development of Global Compact Network Tanzania (GCNT) Strategic Plan, 2020 – 2025
Duty Station: Dar es Salaam
Period of assignment: 30 person-days
Eligibility: Qualified and experienced national consultants are invited to submit their proposals
Objective and Scope of the Work:
The overall objective of this consultancy is to develop a GCNT’s 2020 – 2025 Strategic Plan that will ensure fulfillment of GCNT mandate as well as helping in keeping its members working while complementing the same short, medium and long-term goals. The new strategy should among others be able to:
• Clearly set out GCNT vision, mission and objectives, principles
• Develop a short term-medium term and long-term work plan and timeline against GCNT objectives.
Specifically:
• Develop a model that enhances GCNT’s relevance to its members and private sector in Tanzania;
• Outline approach to harmonize collaboration with partners and key actors in Sustainability, Human Rights, Labor, Environment and Anti-Corruption work;
• Develop results framework with key indicators to measure GCNT strategy implementation within the 5-year timeframe including a risk and mitigation framework;
• Lay out the overall advocacy strategy of GCNT and its approach linking national advocacy efforts to the regional and global ones;
• Lay out how GCNT can mobilize successfully additional funding for sustainability related to its initiatives and activities;
• Design and Outline communications approach, including media engagement strategy that is aligned with advocacy efforts;
• Develop a strategy, criteria and operational tools for new membership recruitment
• Design a tool to ensure timely collection of membership fees, with periodic reminders to those not acknowledged receipt
• Outline key programmes for GCNT to deliver on its strategic objectives including;
(re) defining and developing its internal governance system,
staff training gap analysis and training plan,
fundraising and resource mobilization strategy
Develop a concrete sustainability plan for GCNT
