INVITATION FOR TENDERS

1. The United Republic of Tanzania has received financing from the African Development Bank
   (AfDB) towards the costs of Tanzania Agricultural Inputs Support Project (TAISP), and it intends
   to apply part of the proceeds of this funds to cover eligible payments under the contract for
   Procurement of 3,500 units of Tablets.
2. The Ministry of Agriculture now invites sealed bids from eligible International Suppliers of
   goods as described here under;

3. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures as
   specified in the Bank Procurement Methods and procedures for procurement of Goods and Works.
4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding
   Documents at the office of Secretary, Ministerial Tender Board, Ministry of Agriculture, located at the University of Dodoma School of Humanities Block No. 9 Ground Floor, Room I 120. from 08:00hours 15:30hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
5. A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by interested bidders upon the
   submission of a written application to the said Executing Agency, and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Tanzania Shillings 100,000. The method of payment will be by Government Electronic Payment Gateway (GEPG) payable to Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, P.O Box 2182, Dodoma upon collection of bills from the cashier.
6. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in an acceptable format provided in the Bidding Document in Tanzania shillings 70,000,000.00 or freely convertible currencies (in case of foreign Tenderers).
7. All Bids in one original plus two (2) copies properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes
   must be delivered to the address Secretary, Ministerial Tender Board, Ministry of Agriculture, P.O. Box 2182, 40487 DODOMA, TANZANIA at or before 10:00hours on Monday, 12th June, 2023. Bids must be delivered at the Office of the Secretary of Ministerial Tender Board located at the University of Dodoma School Humanities Block 9 Ground Floor, Room I 120. Bids will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the Conference Room of the Ministry of Agriculture.
8. Late Bids, Portion of Bids, Electronic Bids, Bids not received, Bids not opened and not read out
   in public at the bid opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the
   circumstances.
