Invitation for Tenders: Supply and Delivery Warehouse Equipment and Border Post Screening Kits for Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar

Tender No. ME 012/2022-2023/TANIPAC/G/42

1. The United Republic of Tanzania has received financing from the African Development Bank
   (AfDB) and Global Agriculture and Food Security Program (GAFSP) towards the cost of Tanzania Initiatives for Preventing Aflatoxin Contamination (TANIPAC), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this funds to cover eligible payments under the contract for Supply and Delivery Warehouse Equipment and Border Post Screening Kits for Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar.
2. The Ministry of Agriculture now invites sealed bids from eligible National Suppliers of goods as described here under;

Tenderer may tender for single lot or both lots, tenderer must quote for all quantities specified in
each lot. Tenderers not quoting for all quantities in a lot will be considered non responsive.

3. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures as
   specified in the Bank Procurement Methods and procedures for procurement of Goods and Works.
4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding
   Documents at the office of Secretary, Ministerial Tender Board, Ministry of Agriculture, located at the University of Dodoma School of Humanities Block No. 9 Ground Floor, Room 1 120. from 08:00hours – 15:30hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
5. A complete set of Bidding Document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by
   interested Bidders on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 4 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of one hundred thousand (TZS100,000/-). Payment should either be by Cash, Banker’s Draft, or Banker’s Cheque, payable to Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, P.O. Box 2182, 40487 DODOMA, TANZANIA.
6. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in an acceptable format provided in the Bidding Document in Tanzania shillings or freely convertible currencies (in case of foreign Tenderers) as follows;

7. All Bids in one original plus two (2) copies properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes
   must be delivered to the address Secretary, Ministerial Tender Board, Ministry of Agriculture, P.O. Box 2182, 40487 DODOMA, TANZANIA at or before 14:00hours on 3rd March 2023, Bids must be delivered at the Office of the Secretary of Ministerial Tender Board located at the University of Dodoma School Humanities Block 9 Ground Floor, Room I 120. Bids will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the Conference Room of the Ministry of Agriculture.
8. Late Bids, Portion of Bids, Electronic Bids, Bids not received, Bids not opened and not read out in public at the bid opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
