The Government of United Republic of Tanzania through Ministry of Water has set aside fund towards the cost of Extension of Water Supply at Kahama Town and intends to apply part of the portion of the funds to cover eligible payments under the contract for which this invitation for Bid is issued as detailed below.

The Kahama Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority now invites sealed Tenders from eligible and qualified Piped water system and civil works contractors registered or capable of being registered with CRB in class 5 and above or specialized contractors in civil works given and signed by CRB for carrying out the Extension of Mwendakulima Water Supply Systein at Kahama Town as follows:

• Excavate, supply of HDPE pipes and lay in trenches and backfill pipes for transmission line and distribution network with total length of 55,980m.
• Excavate for and construct pipeline manholes chambers with covers and locking device for air valves, lire hydrant, sectional valves and washouts with internal dimensions of 1,000mm x 800mm x 1,000mm.
• Excavate for and construct pipeline thrust blocks for bends, T-joints Washouts, gate valves and end caps.
• Excavate for and construction of all mark posts for gate valves, air valves, washouts, lire hydrant and water distribution mains.
• Construction of 11 water kiosks with its associated pipes and fittings
• Rehabilitation of two ( 2) existing storage water tanks,

And the Extension of Piped Water Supply System to Bukondamoyo EPZ area at Kahama Town As follows:

• Excavate, supply of HDPE pipes and lay in trenches and backfill pipes for transmission line and distribution network with total length of 9,591m
• Excavate for and construct pipeline manholes chambers with covers and locking device for air valves, fire hydrant, sectional valves and washouts with internal dimensions of 1,000mm x 800mm x 1,000mm.
• Excavate for and construct pipeline thrust blocks for bends, T-joints Washouts, gate valves and end caps.
• Excavate for and construction of all mark posts for gate valves, air valves, washouts, fire hydrant and water distribution mains.

Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures specified in the Public Procurement Regulations Act, No. 7 of 2011 and the Public Procurement ( Good,Works, Non consultancy Service and Disposal of Public Assets by Tender) Regulation Government Notice No.446 of 2013 and are open to all eligible bidders.

Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the secretary of Kahama Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority Tender Board , P. O. Box 102 Kahama Shinyanga, from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.

A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English, in hard copy and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 4 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tanzania shillings One Hundred Thousand (100,000.00) or its equivalent. Payment should either be by Banker’s Draft, or Banker’s Cheque, payable to the Managing Director, Kahama Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority, P.0.Box 102,-Kahama.

All Tenders must be accompanied with a Tender securing declaration in the format provided in the Tendering documents unless otherwise stated in the Tender Data Sheet.

All Tenders in one original plus two copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes written on top of that envelope the details of that particular tender must be delivered to the address, MANAGING DIRECTOR KUWASA, P.O.BOX 102-KAHAMA at or before 10:00 local times on 17‘“ May, 2019. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend on their own cost in the opening ceremony at the KUWASA conference room, Boma Road in Kahama Town

Late Tenders, portion of Tenders, electronic Tenders, Tenders not received, Tenders not opened at the Tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
