Invitation to Prequalification of Local Suppliers for Financial Year 2019/2020 and 2020/2021
1. Compassion International Tanzania intends to establish a list of Local suppliers for the supply of goods and services for the financial year 2019/2020 and 2020/2021
2. Being headquartered in Arusha-Tanzania, Mtoto House- Olorien Area, Compassion International Tanzania has other three Zonal offices located in Dodoma, Dar es Salaam and Mwanza which will need same services as the Headquarters. Compassion International Tanzania now invites applications from eligible, competent suppliers for the supply of goods, works and services in those offices for the period stated above.

QUALIFICATIONS
Applicant should provide the relevant information including the Name and address of the company, physical address, telephone, fax and Bank details, Contact person, Business license, VAT and TIN certificates. The applicant must indicate the capability to perform the work including experience in similar assignments, Firms track records and CV’s for the key personnel where applicable.
1. Evaluation criteria shall include the following:
a) Valid Business License,
b) VAT and TIN certificates (VAT Certificate must be of the company and not of the owner)
c) Certificate of Incorporation
d) Physical address of the Firm
e) Experience of the firm in similar assignments (list of customers served),
f) List and experience of the Key personnel
g) Manufacturer’s authorization letter; if applicable
h) Financial capability of the firm
i) Firms track record
j) Submission of Anti- bribery policy for code of conduct
k) Practicing certificate for all professionals where applicable.
2. Information provided in the pre -qualification document is strictly confidential and solely for use of Compassion International Tanzania.
3. Short listed suppliers in respective CATEGORIES will be contacted to bid by submitting Quotations (solicited document) as and when specific needs arise. The competitive bidder shall be issued either the Local Purchase Order (LPO) or Contract for the requirement.
4. All prequalification application in ONE ORIGINAL plus ONE COPY properly filled and clearly marked the relevant CATEGORY (Description) and its details must be addressed to NATIONAL DIRECTOR, Compassion International Tanzania, P.O. Box 3064, Arusha, Tanzania.
If it is hand delivery, it should be deposited in the Tender Box located at the reception office of Compassion International Tanzania, Mtoto House, Olorien Area. From 09:30hours to 16:00hours of working days from Monday to Friday except on public holidays.
5. Bidders wishing to submit more than one CATEGORY must ensure that each CATEGORY is submitted in a separate envelope and clearly marked the description of the CATEGORY.
6. Eligible Bidders from regions where our zonal offices are, are encouraged to apply.
7. Eligible and capable bidders can apply to serve both offices (headquarter and zonal offices) in a tendered category of their expertise.
8. The deadline for submission of applications will be on Friday 31st May 2019 at 4:30pm and will be opened soon thereafter in public presence of all bidders or representatives in our Conference Room Ground Floor.
9. Telegraphic, telefax, electronic or similar submissions will not be accepted.
10. Late Application, application not received, not opened and not read out during public prequalification’s opening ceremony shall not be considered for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances
11. Bidders who do not hear from us by 30th June 2019 should consider themselves as not successful.
