INVITATION TO TENDER SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF INTERNAL FLOATING ROOF AND REPAIR OF TANKS NO. S2,S3,S12 AND S13

1. Tanzania International Petroleum Reserves (TIPER) Ltd is a bulk storage facility for Petroleum Products with its shares divided equally between the Government of Tanzania and Oryx Energies SA of Switzerland. The Company office is located at Kigamboni Industrial Area, Depot site-plot 1, Dar es Salaam-Tanzania.
2. TIPER hereby invites via International Competitive Bidding (ICB) experienced Class One and Two Mechanical contractors to bid for the Supply and Installation of Internal Floating Roofs and Repair of Tanks no. $2, $3, $12 and $13.
3. Eligible Contractors must have experience in similar works performed with at least three reputable organizations
4. This invitation is open to all eligible local and international Contractors with qualification mentioned in part 2 and 3 above.
5. Foreign contractors wishing to participate MUST be registered as Class One Mechanical Contractors by the Contractors Registration Board(CRB) in Tanzania or by having a joint venture with a local company which has such registration locally.
6. Interested and eligible bidders may request electronic copy of tender document by sending their request letters through the following email: [email protected] from 14 September, 2022 to 4 October, 2022 from Monday to Friday, between 8:00A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
7. Bids MUST be submitted in hardcopies only.
8. All bids submitted in plain sealed envelopes in one original plus one copy and electronic Copy in USB flash drive, properly filled and marked TENDER NO: TP/09/2022/ICB/W/006 FOR SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF INTERNAL FLOATING ROOFS AND REPAIR OF TANKS NO. S2, $3, $12 AND S13. All bids must be delivered physically to; The Secretary, Tender Committee, Tanzania International Petroleum Reserves Limited (TIPER), P.0. Box 2608, Kigamboni, Dar es Salaam. The deadline for submission of Tender documents will be 4.00 P.M. local time on 5 October, 2022.
9. Bidders MUST visit the site before bidding. Pre-bid meeting and site visit to be conducted on Wednesday 21 September, 2022 from 10:30am to 12:00 am local time (East African Time).
10. During the site visit all bidders will be required to come with own PPE’s (Personal Protective Equipment) which meets TIPER standards. This includes Steel Toe Safety Boots, Cotton Overcoat and Helmet. Bidders without PPE’s will not be allowed onto the site.
11. There shall be NO public opening of bids.
12. Late bids, portion of bids, electronic bids will not be considered for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
13. TIPER is not bound to accept the lowest or any bid.
