Assistant Technical Operator

Job/Role Summary
An Assistant Technical Operator shall assist a Primary Technical Operator by performing tasks like material preparation, loading and unloading, monitoring production, and performing quality checks to ensure products meet standards. They also help with basic machine Operation, maintenance and troubleshooting, and supporting the overall smooth operation of the machinery. The job holder is to be fully aware of the machine / equipment’s set targets and be very proactive and conscious of waste on the machine / equipment / plant they are assigned to.

The Assistant Technical Operator role will also serve as a succession plan for Primary Technical Machine Operator and Trainee Technician.

Key Responsibilities:
• Material Preparation:
Preparing materials, such as loading supplies and equipment, and retrieving cores, boxes, and other necessary materials for the machine.

• Loading and Unloading:
Assisting with loading and unloading products from machines, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.

• Machine Operation:
Continue to run the machine whenever the operator went on break for i.e., Tea, Launch, or take a rest (especially where the Factory run a12 hrs. shift)

• Production Monitoring:
Monitoring machine performance, identifying potential issues, and alerting the operator to ensure smooth and efficient production.

• Quality Control:
Inspecting products for quality, removing defective items, and ensuring compliance with company standards.

• Machine Setup and Maintenance:
Assisting with basic machine setup, routine maintenance tasks, and troubleshooting minor issues under the guidance of the primary operator.

• Housekeeping:
Maintaining a clean and organized work area around the machine.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• 2-3 years post high school Technical certificate or Diploma.
• At least 0-2 years’ experience as an operator in an industrial organization.
• Ability to understand and carry out basic technical tasks.
• Willingness to learn and work in team.
• Proficiency in the business language is required.
• Basic Computer literacy
• Conversant with the working tools
• Dedicated and focus on quality, volume, and waste.
• Potential good problem-solving skills
