Our client, a multinational mining company in Mbeya, is seeking a qualified and experienced Finance and Administration Manager based at its site offices in Mbeya.
Position Title: Finance and Administration Manager
Reporting to: General Manager
Job Summary:
You will supervise a team of Finance and administration staff and will be responsible for overseeing all financial and administrative functions crucial to our gold extraction and processing operations in Mbeya. This pivotal role involves managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with regulations, optimizing operational efficiencies, and providing strategic guidance to enhance the company’s financial health and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) required.
- Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in financial management, preferably in the mining or extractive industry, factories focusing on on-site operations.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel is a must
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptability, resilience, and ability to thrive in a dynamic on-site environment.
- Proficiency in relevant software and systems (e.g., ERP systems, financial modeling tools).
Specific Competencies:
- Mining and Extractive Industry Expertise: Understanding of the specific challenges, processes, and nuances related to gold extraction and processing operations.
- Supply Chain Management: Knowledge of supply chain processes, procurement strategies, and logistics within the mining industry.
- Facility Management: Understanding facility needs, maintenance, and operational requirements within the mining context.
- Ethical Decision-Making: Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining integrity in financial and administrative practices.
- Compliance Adherence: Ensuring adherence to legal and ethical standards while conducting financial and administrative operations.
Age limit: The applicants should not be above 40 years of age.
