Job Title: Human Resources Manager

Location: Dar es Salaam

Job Summary: As the HR Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and compliance. You will work closely with leadership to implement HR initiatives that align with our company’s mission and values. This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization’s growth and success.

Responsibilities:

  1. Acquisition and Recruitment:
    • Lead the recruitment process, including job posting, candidate screening, interviewing, and selection.
    • Develop and maintain effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
    • Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and workforce planning.
  2. Employee Relations and Engagement:
    • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that encourages employee growth and engagement.
    • Address employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances promptly and professionally.
    • Develop and implement employee recognition and retention programs.
  3. Performance Management:
    • Oversee the performance appraisal process, providing guidance to managers and employees.
    • Develop and implement performance improvement plans when necessary.
    • Assist in succession planning and career development initiatives.
  4. HR Policies and Compliance:
    • Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and best practices.
    • Stay current with labor laws and regulations and ensure the organization’s compliance.
    • Maintain confidential employee records and files.
  5. Training and Development:
    • Identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities.
    • Implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
    • Encourage a culture of continuous learning and skill development.
  6. Benefits and Compensation:
    • Administer employee benefits programs and assist with compensation planning.
    • Conduct regular benchmarking to ensure competitive compensation and benefits packages.
    • Assist employees with benefit-related inquiries and issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven 3 or more years of experience as an HR Manager or similar HR leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive employee relations.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
