Introduction
Catholic Relief Services (CRS), a humanitarian agency founded in 1943 by the US Conference of Catholic Bishops, has supported vulnerable communities in Tanzania for over 60 years. With a focus on areas like sustainable agriculture, youth empowerment, and integrated nutrition, CRS collaborates with local and international partners for impactful and sustainable development. In partnership with COUNSENUTH and funded by UNICEF, CRS is implementing a one-year project titled “Leveraging Community Systems to Optimize Maternal-Child Nutrition” in Njombe and Mbeya Regions. The project targets improving nutrition outcomes, especially reducing stunting and promoting better diets and behaviors among vulnerable groups.

Purpose and Objectives of the Assignment
The consultancy’s goal is to adapt and digitalize Social Behavior Change (SBC) messages to increase awareness of nutrient-rich foods and promote their consumption. Key tasks include prioritizing behavioral determinants, adapting and disseminating impactful messages, developing an evaluation plan, and creating a comprehensive SBC campaign toolkit.
Main Tasks for the Consultant
The consultant will:
- Conduct a document review to prioritize behaviors.
- Adapt messages with input from stakeholders.
- Digitize and disseminate impactful messages.
- Evaluate campaign outcomes.
- Develop a roll-out plan.
- Document the campaign and tools.
