Job Purpose
The Manager, Projects Origination and Formulation will play a pivotal role in supporting CRDB Bank’s engagement in green financing and climate financing. This position requires expertise in climate change mitigation and adaptation, as well as the ability to formulate concept notes and funding proposals aligned with the bank’s strategic objectives.
Principal Responsibilities
- Lead the development of concept notes and funding proposals to secure financing from various funders, including the Green Climate Fund (GCF).
- Conduct research and analysis to identify sustainable financing projects.
- Develop financial models and risk assessments to ensure project feasibility and sustainability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project proposals meet technical, environmental, and social standards.
- Stay updated on trends in climate finance and green financing, and represent the bank at industry events.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Banking, Accountancy, Economics, or related fields (Climate Change, ESG/Climate Finance certifications are a plus).
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in formulating and managing climate-related programs.
- Project Management certification and Climate Change Adaptation/ Mitigation certification preferred.
2. Senior Specialist, TACATDP Implementation Finance

Job Purpose
This role involves overseeing the effective utilization of funds disbursed by the Green Climate Fund for agricultural projects. The Senior Specialist will ensure compliance with GCF agreements and manage funds to enhance smallholder farmers’ climate resilience in Tanzania’s agriculture sector.
Principal Responsibilities
- Oversee the disbursement of GCF funds in accordance with the Funded Activity Agreement (FAA) and Accreditation Master Agreement (AMA).
- Prepare Annual Performance Reports and ensure timely payment to vendors involved in the TACATDP program.
- Review financial entries and ensure accurate reporting of fund transactions.
- Collaborate with finance and treasury teams to manage GCF payments and track audit recommendations.
Qualifications Required
- Degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Accountancy, or related field.
- Experience in financial management within commercial banks (minimum 3 years).
- Added advantage: Sustainability certification, CPA, or ACCA.
