Position Summary
The DREAMS (Determined, Resilient, Empowered, AIDS-free, Mentored, and Safe) Officer will be responsible for implementing programs that address the vulnerabilities of adolescent girls and young women (AGYW). The primary goal is to reduce the risk of HIV infections through education, mentorship, and health service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Implementation:
- Lead the implementation of DREAMS initiatives, focusing on health education and HIV prevention for AGYW.
- Coordination with Health Facilities:
- Coordinate with health facilities to organize HIV Testing and Counselling (HTC) services.
- Referrals Facilitation:
- Facilitate bi-directional referrals for AGYW to access health and social services.
- Community Engagement:
- Engage communities in awareness campaigns that focus on reducing HIV transmission among young women.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Document program progress and contribute to quarterly and annual reports.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Community Development, or related fields.
- Experience:
- Experience in HIV prevention, especially programs targeting adolescent girls and young women.
- Skills:
- Strong skills in community engagement and program implementation.
