OVERVIEW.
We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Driver Supervisor to oversee the operations of our company’s motor vehicles. The Driver Supervisor will play a crucial role in ensuring that all vehicles are well-maintained and operate efficiently, while also providing guidance and support to our team of drivers.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES.
- Supervise and ensure all company motor vehicles’ proper maintenance and upkeep.
- Provide guidance, supervision, advice, and support to all company drivers to enhance their performance and adherence to safety protocols.
- Record and regularly update all motor vehicle reports, including maintenance schedules, fuel consumption, and incident reports.
- Create and manage motor vehicle schedules to meet operational requirements, including timely deliveries and pick-ups.
- Set performance goals and deadlines for the driver team, and monitor progress towards achieving targets.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS.
- Bachelor’s degree in Transport and Logistics, or a related field, demonstrating a solid understanding of transportation management practices.
- Possession of a valid driving license, specifically Class C, and a proven track record of safe driving practices.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills to effectively manage a team of drivers.
- Comprehensive knowledge of motor vehicle maintenance practices and safety protocols.
- Effective communication skills to provide clear guidance and support to drivers.
- Proficient in setting performance targets and monitoring progress toward goals
- Proficient in basic computer skills, particularly in Excel and report preparation.
- Experience in team management, specifically with drivers, and meeting the demands set by management.
