Vacancy: Communications and Advocacy Specialist
The East, Central, and Southern Africa Health Community (ECSA-HC) invites applications for the position of Communications and Advocacy Specialist from suitably qualified candidates who are nationals of ECSA-HC member states. The position is based at the ECSA-HC Secretariat in Arusha, Tanzania.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the organization’s communications and advocacy strategy
- Promote visibility and branding of ECSA-HC
- Manage media relations and produce communication materials (press releases, policy briefs, newsletters, etc.)
- Coordinate knowledge sharing events and advocacy campaigns
- Maintain and update the ECSA-HC website and social media platforms
- Support documentation and communication during technical meetings
- Prepare speeches and reports for the Director General
- Provide training on advocacy and documentation
Qualifications
- An undergraduate degree and a Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or International Relations
- Minimum 10 years of experience in communications and advocacy
- Experience with media relations and digital communications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Familiarity with public health issues is an added advantage
Contract and Benefits
