Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW

We seek a dynamic and results-driven Sales Specialist to join our FMCG team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for surveying, analyzing, and developing new customer relationships to drive sales growth. The Sales Specialist will also play a key role in maintaining and strengthening existing customer partnerships, ensuring exceptional service and support.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

  1. Conduct market surveys and analysis to identify potential customers and opportunities for sales growth.
  2. Foster and nurture relationships with existing customers, providing exceptional service to enhance customer loyalty and drive sales.
  3. Follow a designated route plan to visit customers’ shops daily, ensuring regular and effective communication.
  4. Collect customer orders and assist in optimizing their sales strategies.
  5. Proactively address customer achievements, orders, complaints, and suggestions, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  6. Monitor and report on product displays in the market, making recommendations for improvements as necessary.
  7. Stay updated on competitors’ activities and promptly report any relevant issues to the team.
  8. Prepare and submit weekly reports, highlighting market trends, challenges, and opportunities to sales supervisors and managers.
  9. Facilitate the signing of customer contracts on behalf of the company, ensuring compliance with established guidelines.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in English and Swahili, both written and spoken.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in FMCG or a sales-related role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, capable of managing time and tasks efficiently.
  • Willingness to be based in upcountry areas like Songea, Ifakara, and similar locations.
