* The East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project is a Midstream development located across Uganda and Tanzania that includes a nearshore Marine Storage and Export Terminal (MST). Once completed, the EACOP Company will operate the East African Crude Oil Pipeline, a 1 ,4Å3 km long, electrically heated crude oil export pipeline that transports oil from Kabaale – Hoima in Uganda, to the Chongoleani Peninsula near Tanga Port in Tanzania for crude export to the international markets.
JOB DIMENSIONS/ GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
To be responsible for:
- Logistics services deliverables and team within Field Operations team.
- Logistics operations throughout EACOP asset.
- Logistics budget and contract management.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
To manage:
- Operational logistics as catering, housekeeping, general services, waste disposal, fumigation, sites, lodging accommodations and PTS.
- All material requests (diesel, chemicals, spares, consumables, etc.) from site and office.
- Transport services for personnel, spares, consumables, and supplies.
- Vehicles/truck fleet contract, maintenance, drivers, and shuttle services management.
- Logistics services contracts with Cost Control and C&P Department.
- Follow-up all stocks on sites/MST base by ensuring proper documentation and records.
To ensure:
- Availability and suitability of equipment and services to operational and emergency requests.
- Development and management of ‘Supply Chain’ activities: reception, custom, transit stock control, storage, material exit, transport, and client delivery.
- Participation in the organization of transportation audits and of a logistic review.
- Minimum dead stock and proper scrap management in line with EACOP procedures.
- Lean operations mode in terms of infrastructure and resources.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Services or Engineering.
- English proficiency
Experience Required:
- 15 years in Logistics services (sites & supply base) in a large organization.
- Have negotiation skills, capacity to take decision and to work under pressure.
- Capable of working with minimum supervision.
- Good supervisory and communication skills with the ability to motivate the team.
- Have good contract and purchasing knowledge.
