Driver Trainer (01)
Location: Kilombero and Kilosa Districts, Morogoro Region
Unitrans Tanzania Limited has an exciting opportunity for a Driver Trainer. This role involves conducting prescribed in-house training courses for drivers and operators and monitoring the results.
Job Purpose:
To conduct prescribed in-house training courses for drivers and operators and monitor results of the training.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct training and provide on-job training to operators and drivers.
- Demonstrate machine management techniques to improve work safety and efficiency.
- Provide work guidance in accordance with work instructions as issued by customers.
- Conduct safety functions including performing monthly inspections of your workplace to identify any hazards.
- Ensure no employee operates machinery unless adequately trained and competent.
- Liaise with Safety, Health, and Environmental Representatives during inspections.
- Participate in accident and incident investigations when they occur.
- Ensure machinery checks are carried out by competent people and findings are recorded.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
- Provide administrative support including preparation of job training reports.
- Maintain excellent customer relations.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of secondary education.
- Trainer certificate/driver instructor certificate.
- Defensive driving training certificate (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a driver trainer.
- Must be able to operate various machines/vehicles including truck, tractor, and grader.
- Valid driving license (Classes E, G, F).
- Familiar with Tanzania Road Traffic Act and its regulations.
Assistant Contract Manager (01)
Location: Kilombero and Kilosa Districts, Morogoro Region
Unitrans Tanzania Limited is looking for an Assistant Contract Manager to manage and optimize operations at a sugar estate.
Job Purpose:
To implement, manage, and optimize all Unitrans operations on the sugar estate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the cane haulage operations including mechanical harvesting.
- Manage ancillary operations like road maintenance, crop spraying, and fertilizer application.
- Ensure optimum driver and vehicle utilization.
- Ensure all safety, health, and environmental regulations are adhered to.
- Perform monthly workplace inspections and liaise with Safety, Health, and Environmental Representatives.
- Compile operations budgets and ensure revenue and expenditure are within budget parameters.
- Manage customer relationships and ensure ongoing exceptional service.
- Ensure compliance with quality management policies and procedures.
- Prepare daily and monthly reports as required.
- Proactively respond to customer needs and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- 3-5 years of experience in a senior supervisory position.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Must be a Tanzanian citizen.
- Age not more than 45 years old.
