MACHINE OPERATOR JOB DESCRIPTION
1.Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials
2.Operate or monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops
3.Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment
4.Ensuring the smooth and efficient running of machines
5.Carrying out routine maintenance
6.Ensuring enough raw materials are fed into the machines
7.Conducting periodic checks on output efficiency
8.Gaining a thorough knowledge of a wide range of factory machinery and how it works
9.Understanding of how operated machine works
10.Conduct quality checks periodically
11.Verify adequate materials and supplies are available to complete operations as needed
12.Troubleshoot problems during machine operation
13.Ensure that regular and preventative maintenance procedures are carried out
14.Perform random tests to ensure accuracy
15.Create and maintain operations logs
16.Inspect visually document results and production run
17.Incorporate all training essential for turning into fully qualified.
18.Provide required support and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines to concerned personnel.
19.Provide relevant information regarding progress to supervisors
20.Learn, understand and follow company requirements for employee safety, product quality and productivity
21.Become aware of potential workplace hazards such as broken or malfunctioning machines and strive to ensure safety of self and others by reporting any hazards immediately
22.Learn and uphold company standards to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and optimize work efficiency. Strive to achieve company-specified production targets.
23.Keep workspace clean and organized to maximize safety and productivity. Offer suggestions for workspace improvement if needed.
24.Stay up to date on and closely observe assembly and maintenance instructions.
25.Adjust machine as needed for changeovers, different functions, or other varying needs of production
26.Assist the shop technicians and materials clerk as necessary
27.Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
28.Test operation of machines periodically
29.Work with others in order to ensure that equipment is in proper working order
30.Perform appropriate duties as assigned by management
31.Shall ensure brand change procedure is followed to avoid brand mix-up
32.Shall work with QA & QC and take appropriate action on quality related issues
33.Shall identify and reject non-conforming products and inform QA, Technician and Supervisor for the same
34.Shall make sure product is made as per brand specification issued by QA
35.Shall inform NTM Supervisor if any wrong NTM is issued on machine or for any shortage of material (NTM)
36.Shall make sure correct tobacco blend is used as per specification and coordinate with PMD for any shortage
