Requirements and Qualification
- Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Science and Management or related.
- Knowledge of HSE standards such as ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety).
- First Aid, CPR, or other health and safety certifications (desirable).
- Understanding of international and local quality, health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO standards).
- Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies, such as Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
- Basic knowledge of how to assist in reporting accidents, incidents, near-misses, and conducting root cause analyses.
- Awareness of quality control processes and techniques to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Knowledge of waste management, environmental impact assessments, and sustainability practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and data entry/analysis for tracking HSE performance.
- Familiarity with HSE software or tools used for tracking incidents, audits, and compliance.
- Strong written communication skills for preparing reports, safety audits, and environmental performance metrics.
- Basic skills in analyzing safety and quality data, identifying trends, and making recommendations.
- Strong observational skills to identify potential quality issues, hazards, or environmental risks.
- Clear and effective communication, both verbal and written, to collaborate with teams and ensure compliance.
- Ability to assist in identifying root causes of incidents or quality defects and suggesting corrective actions.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in various departments.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- Any relevant experience, internships, or volunteer work related to HSE management will be advantageous.
- Understanding of safety and environmental risks in the workplace, and ability to help with risk assessments.
- Ability to assist with internal HSE audits, ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and standards.
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and support the team in improving HSE performance.
- High standards of ethics and integrity, especially in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
