Job brief
We are looking for a Stock Controller to manage our inventory and purchased stock based on our company’s needs.
Stock Controller responsibilities include Purchase and stock taking of food and drinks, overseeing inventory and maintaining reports of purchases and pricing. To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with supply chain procedures and have good communication skills to interact with vendors, clients and internal teams.
Ultimately, you will increase profitability and effectiveness by maintaining optimal stock levels of quality products at all times.
Responsibilities
- Stock taking of food and drinks daily.
- Prepare weekly drinks orders and request approval from directors
- Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS)
- Enter purchase details (vendors information, invoices and pricing) into POS system
- Place orders (food & drinks) to suppliers as needed
- Making sure all drinks purchased are original
- Input of all purchases of food and drinks into the POS system
- Track all drinks and food in the POS system
- Maintaining stock level as advised by directors
- Oversee storage of stocks
- Evaluate suppliers’ offers and negotiate profitable deals
- Track price change from suppliers
- Coordinate regular inventory audits
- Keep updated records (including daily purchase)
- Ensure purchases do not exceed budget
Requirements and skills
- Proven work experience as a Stock Controller for 1 year.
- Good understanding of supply chain procedures
- Working knowledge of POS system
- Active participation in inventory auditsExcellent organization skills
- Quick in action
- Able to work under pressure
- Good communication and negotiation abilities
