Resourceful Hub, on behalf of our client in the manufacturing sector, is hiring a proactive and detail-oriented Transportation Manager. The successful candidate will oversee and optimize the company’s transportation and logistics operations to ensure timely, costeffective, and safe delivery of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the company’s transportation fleet.
- Plan and coordinate deliveries and distribution schedules to ensure timely arrival of goods.
- Monitor vehicle usage, maintenance schedules, and fuel efficiency.
- Design efficient delivery routes to minimize costs and enhance delivery speed.
- Utilize logistics software and tracking systems to monitor shipments in real-time.
- Analyze transportation data to identify and implement improvements.
- Ensure all transportation activities comply with national transport regulations and company policies.
- Enforce driver safety standards and conduct regular safety training sessions.
- Maintain updated documentation for vehicle licensing, inspections, and insurance.
- Supervise and manage a team of drivers and transport staff.
- Evaluate and manage third-party transport service providers.
- Conduct performance reviews and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Develop and manage the transportation budget.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery timelines, cost per shipment, and vehicle downtime.
- Prepare and present regular reports to management on transport performance and cost efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation or logistics management, ideally within the manufacturing or industrial sector.
- Strong knowledge of transport regulations, routing, and fleet management.
- Proficiency in logistics management software and GPS tracking tools.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict delivery deadlines.
