About Us:
Day Sparkle Consultancy is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Deputy General Manager on behalf of their client.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the supermarket, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
- Provide leadership and direction to department managers and staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.
- Implement strategic plans and initiatives to drive sales growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and achieve business objectives.
- Monitor financial performance, including sales, expenses, and profitability, and take proactive measures to optimize financial results.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards, as well as relevant regulatory requirements.
- Implement effective inventory management practices to minimize stock shrinkage and maximize product availability.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to negotiate favorable terms and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner, striving to resolve issues to customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in senior-level management, preferably in the retail or supermarket industry.
- Proven track record of success in managing supermarket operations, including sales, inventory, and customer service.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented mindset.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and relevant retail management software.
- Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
