1.This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in the United Nations Development Business Online, Notice number, OP00142857 dated 17th August,2021.
2.The Government of Tanzania has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Digital Tanzania Project (OTP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for New Cell sites in underserved areas. DTP Phase I.
3.The.Ministry of Information, Communication, and Information Technology (MICIT) through Project Implementation Unit (PIUJ now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for purchase of New Cell Sites in underserved areas-DTP Phase I.
4.Bidding will be conducted through International Competitive Bidding using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers dated November, 2020 (Fourth Edition) (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
5.Bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding document from Monday to Friday during office hours from 9:00 am to 15:00 pm exclusive of Public Holidays at the address given below.
6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 10:30 am local time on Friday 02″” December,2022. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representable and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below.
7. A complete set of the bidding document in English is available to interested eligible Bidder upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tanzania Shillings One Hundred Thousand (TZS 100,000.00) or its equivalent in freely convertible currency. The method of payment will be through the Control Number to be provided by the Ministry of Information, Communication, and Information Technology (MICIT). Please request a control number through mail address: [email protected] after getting the control number, follow procedures outlines in this link hltps://epay.gepg.go.tz/ to make payment and follow up your receipt via emails provided.
8. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Securing Declaration in the format provided in the bidding document.
9.Bidders are encouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting which will be held on Thursday 10th November, 2022 Starting from 10:00 am local time, at UCSAF Board Room, Second Floor, Old Computer Lab, College of Informatics and Virtual Education at University of Dodoma.
10.Attentionis drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
