INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

PRE-QUALIFICATION OF CONTRACTORS FOR THE PROVISION OF STAFF BUS TRANSPORT SERVICES FOR GEITA GOLD MINE TANZANIA

I. INTRODUCTION
Geita Gold Mine – GGML ( the company) an AngloGold Ashanti Ltd(AGA) subsidiary is located in North Western Tanzania in the Lake Victoria Goldfields of Geita Region about 120 KM from Mwanza and 4 KM West of the town of Geita

1. The company is in the process of assessing penitential contractors for provision of taff Buss transpoft for its mining operations situated at Geita Tanzania. The company inviting interested eligible contractors to submit an expression of interest letter for thr provision of the services as per brief scope detailed below

II. INFORMATION REQUIRED

1. Brief company profile – backgroung ownership and organisation of the company
2. certified copy of certificate of incorporation/registration
3. certified copies of TIN and VAT registration certificate
4. Tax Clearance certificatee
5. cerfificate copy of valid license
6. list of key personnel including their VC’s and academic qualifications
7. Dtails of completion of similar type of contractors in the at least 5 years and similar contractors/agreements currently under execution under heading

a. brief scope of works
b. Value of work in Tanzania Shillings
c. Contract duration
d. Clients name
e. Contact details of client(GGML may approach the client directly for feedback health, safety and environment statistic’s(HSE) Lost time injury graph etc
f. At least 3 reference letters from existing clients required

1. OSHA Registration ceritificate
2. compliance with the mining( localcontent) regulation 2018 and details of capability of the contractor to hire local resources and procure local goods
3. Audited financial statements with the notes to the financial stamenets for the last 3 years

III. QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE PROPOSAL PROVIDERS
The ocmpany will give the preference to contractors who meet its minimum requirements in terams of the following criteria

1. Reliability – approach that will be used to ensure un-interrupted provision of transport service as per scope requirements
2. Capability contractors details of their capability to undertake the said works to similar operation/clients this include contractors assessment in terms of quality of key personnel, equipment’s and other facilities required or necessary to perform the works
3. Health Safety and Environment – assessment of health safety and environment management practice within contractors organization
4. Permit and certification – contractors assessment in terms of evidence submitted to support government [permits, registration, certification and any other statutory requirements relevant to the industry
5. Sustainability – assessment of contractors in terms of their local labor sourcing plans and training plans. Potential bidders commitment to the social development of the areas where the mine is located
6. Competitive Bidding- interested parties must be willing to participate in the competitive bidding and provide competitive prices and should be informed that competitive pricing will be one of the consideration in the bid evaluation
7. Financial capability – contractors assessment of the financial capability necessary to perform the intended work
8. Local Content – Prospective bidders to demonstrate their compliance with the requirements as set out in the Tanzania Mining Local content regulation 2018 as amended

Interested parties must submit their expression letter of interest together with supporting information to GGML which states full name, address, telephone and email address of the interested party, name of the principal contact and signed by an authorized representative’s. The LOI must outline a statement of firm’s capability to provide catering services, including similar contact undertaken over the past 3 years. All LOIs and support documentations must be received by the GGML officer via email at [email protected] no later than12:00 PM 4 March 2020 LOI submission deadline) EOI Submission should not exceed 10 MB re email. In case the size of the email exceed 10 MB please split the submission into the more than on email
