Invitation for Tenders
This Invitation for Tenderers follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project which appeared in PPRA portal on 30TH August, 2019.
The Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO Ltd) has set aside funds for the operation during the financial year 2019/20. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for which this invitation is issued.
The Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) now invites sealed Tenders from eligible bidders for provision of cleaning and gardening services for Dar es Salaam and Coast Zone (llala & Zone office, Temeke, Kinondoni North, Kinondoni South and Coast).
Performance of bidders will be considered during award of the tender and bidders with proven records of poor performance shall not be considered for award of this tender.
The scope of services is categorized in six (6) lots, bidders are free to quote for any lot or combination of lots. The evaluation and award will be carried out in respect of a Single Lot or combination of lots, however, the award shall be limited to a maximum of two lots per bidder. The lots are as mentioned hereunder:

Tendering will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB) Method pursuant to the requirement prescribed under the Public Procurement Act No. 7 of 2011, Regulations 151 of 2013 Government Notice No. 446 read together with Public Procurement Amendment and its Regulations of 2016.
Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tendering Document at the office of the ZONAL PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST located at Third Floor, Room No. 319/320 TANESCO DSM & COAST Zone P.O. Box 2233 Dar es Salaam. Telephone No. +255 22 2133332 from 09:00hrs to 16:00hrs on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays
A complete set of Tendering Document in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the addresses given under paragraph 7 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tshs. 118,000 VAT Inclusive payable through Bank to TANESCO Ltd.
The tender must be accompanied by a Tender Securing Declaration in the format provided in the Tendering Document which shall not be altered / amended.
The Tender in One (1) original plus Three (3) copies properly filled and enclosed in plain envelope(s) clearly marked “TENDER NO. PA/001/2019-20/DZN/N/03 FOR PROVISION OF CLEANING AND GARDENING SERVICES FOR DSM AND COAST ZONE UNDER FRAMEWORK ARRANGEMENT LOT …….. (NOT TO BE OPENED BEFORE 14:30 HOURS on Monday11th November, 2019 . and must be delivered to the SECRETARY, ZONAL TENDER BOARD, P.O. BOX 2233, DSM, to reach at Room No. 319/320, DSM & Coast Zone Office, Third Floor, Ministry of Energy and Minerals Building, Samora Avenue at or before 14.30 Hours on or before Monday 11th November, 2019
The closing date and time for submission of tender is Monday 11th November, 2019 at 14:30hrs, tenders will be opened promptly there after in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening ceremony at TANESCO DSM and Coast Zone Office, Fourth Floor, Conference Room No.422
Late Tenders, Portion of Tenders, Electronic Tenders, Tenders not received, Tenders not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
