- This request for Expression of interest follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project
that appeared in United Nations Development Business (UNOB) lissue No. WB-OP0015674 of
28.11.2021. - The Eastern Africa Statistical Training Centre through me Ministry of Education, Science and
Technology (MoST) has received funds from the World Bank for implementation of Tanzania
Higher Education for Economic Transformation (MEET) Project and intends to apply part of the
proceeds for Consultancy Services for review of design drawings, preparation of Bidding
Documents, Cost Estimates and Supervision of Construction and Rehabilitation of Buildings and Related Infrastructure at Eastern Africa Statistical Training Centre (EAST)-Dar Es Salaam - The consulting services (the Services”) include carrying out Review of drawing designs, Preparation of Bidding Documents, Coat Estimates and Supervision of Construction and Rehabilitation of Buildings and Related infrastructure at Eastern Africa Statistical Training Centre (Eastc]-Dar Es Salaam. The total duration for the entire assignment shall be twenty-seven (27) calendar months where by (5) six months will be for design works, three (3) months for procurement of Contractor , twelve (12) months for construction and six (6) months for defect liability period. The estimated level of effort da 56.75 Staff-Months.

- The Rector of Easter African Statistical Training Centre now Invites eligible consulting firms
(“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services.
Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have he required
Qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The short sting criteria are;
A. Core Business and ten (10) years in business.
B. Relevant similar experience, which should specifically include the below: 1 Experience of at least three (3) projects of the same complexity and magnitude with the cumulative value of Tsh. 05 billion in the past ten (10) years (2012- 2022)-information so be provided should include name of assignment, name and full contact address of the client, contract value (in equivalent US dollars) and period (dates) of execution of the assignments and the role played in the assignment (Lead or JV partner). i. Demonstration of experience of work in similar conditions. C. Technical and Managerial capability of the firm The Consultant must provide the structure of the organization, general qualification and number of Key staff. Do not provide CV of the Key staff. Regulations”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest. - Consultants may associate with other firms to enhance their qualifications, but should indicate dearly whether the association is in the form of a joint venture and/or: sub-consultancy. in the case of a joint venture, all the partners in the joint venture shall be jointly and severally Fable for to entire contract, if selected. - A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Consultant’s Qualifications Based Selection (COS) method set out in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” November 2020.
