PUBLIC NOTICE
The geological of Tanzania (GST) wishes to remind all mineral Right Holders to submit exploration, research and mining data/information to GST. This is according to section 27 F (3) and (4) of the mining Act No. 14 of 2010 as amended by the written laws (miscellaneous Amendment’s) Act No. 7 of 2018 the section requires as follows
27f:- (3) the mineral right holder shall submit to the Geological Survey to Tanzania the following
(a) Geological maps and plans
(b) Geophysical and geochemical raw data
(c) Processed and interpreted data or maps
(d) Technical reports
(e) Core samples and its mineral exploitation data base and
(f) Any other information as may be required
4 the mineral right holder shall give copies of data generated under subsection(2) and (3) tho the geological survey of Tanzania free of charge
Confidentially of the submitted data is guaranteed under section 26 of the mining Act No. 14 of 2010 as amended by the written laws (Miscellaneous amendment) Act No. 7 of 2017. In this regard all the mineral right holders are required to submit the data and information to GST on quarterly
The data/information shall be submitted to GST day before 31th March 2020
