Supply of Marine Equipment & Gears for Mafia Island
Marine Park — MIMP
1. WWF Tanzania Country Office is a Non- Government Organization dealing with environmental protection in Tanzania since 1990 supporting various conservation initiative in the following major thematic areas: Marine, Forest, Fresh Water, Energy and Wildlife. Its global mission is to stop the degradation of the planet’s natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature by undertaking the following, among others:
i. Conserving the world’s biological diversity;
ii. Ensuring that the use of renewable natural resources is sustainable and
ili. Promoting the reduction of pollution and wasteful consumption
2. WWF TCO through Marine Programme is implementing a five-year project titled “Strengthening Marine Protected Areas Management in Rufiji, Mafia and Kilwa District in Tanzania” with funding from the Blue Action Fund (BAF). One of the main work packages is “Improved management effectiveness of Mafia Island Marine Park {MIMP}’. . WWF TCO intends to support Mafia Island Marine Park by procuring Equipment and Gears for the Park
3. WWF TCO invites applications from competent, qualified, reputable, reliable and experienced local service providers preferably of hardware, wholesalers and distributors of building materials who are willing and capable to supply as per the above tender category.

6. All applicants should direct their soft copy bids to the procurement e-mail at [email protected] and or hard copy applications to the address in para # 5 above. Deadline for submission is 10am, Friday 10th June 2022 OR submit a hard copy to WWF office. Thereafter tender opening will take place at 1lam same day on WWF premises
7. WWF TCO reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the applications without assigning any reason thereof.
8. Late bids, bids not received, not opened and not read out in public at the bid opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstance.
