INTRODUCTION

Dar es Salaam Development Corporation (DDC) is a Government entity established in 1973 under the District Development Corporation Act of 1973. The Corporation established as Business Investment Centre of Dar is Salaam City Council entitled for promoting economic growth and provision of entertainment service in Dar es Salaam Region. DOC undertake this functional objective through operating business ventures in its plots located within the City Business Centre. DDC owns Plot No 124 BLOCK N* MAGOMENI. Kinondoni Municipality in Dares Salaam City.

2.0 OBJECTIVE OF CALL

The objective for this call is to invite strategic investors to express their interest for partnership investment with DDC in redevelopment of DDC Magomeni Plot to be modem business centre by constructing modern kids play zone. bar/restaurant and storey entertainment social Halls. The expression of Interest (EOI) is an initial process of selecting potential investor to invest in partnership under Private Public Partnership (PPP) model. This call is open to all strategic investors but DOC is not bound to select any investor if none has not meet qualification and condition set for PPP.

3.0 DDC MAGOMENI OVERVIEW

DDC Magomeni is one of Business Centre constructed in 1970’s when DOC established. Magomeni Plot is purposed for large investment centre covering whole BLOCK ‘N’ MAGOMENI with total size of 5013 SOM. This plot is located in strategic business area along Kondoa Road adjacent to New Magomeni Quarters apartments. The plot is surrounded by streets in all sides. It is walking distance from Morogoro Road near Usalama Bus Station. The centre is most famous place for music entertainment in Dar es Salaam City. The plot is accessible through all angles of the City Via Bagamoyo road. Morogoro road Kilwa road and Pugu road.

4.0 INTENDED PROJECT

DDC intends to redevelop Magomeni Plot to be modern business center by constructing storey entertainment Social Halls. Kids Play Zone. Barirestaurant service and shops centre and the likes. The preliminary market scan and general outlook of the centre after New Magomeni Quarter apartment indicates redevelopment of that plot in business centre of that nature has quick payback period and makes viable projws.

5.0 ELIGIBILITY AND QUALIFICATION FOR INVESTOR FOR EOI

  1. The strategic investor must provide information that shows is capable to undertake the assignment and Investment. The information include experience of undertaking the same assignment and tangible verifiable evidence.
  2. The Investor must show and prove that has financial capability of undertaking the project with tress We evidence.
  3. The investor should describe type of partnership intending to engage in redevelopment of this plot. For example Building. Operating and Transfer (GOT). Shares in percent ownership, extra.

N. The Investor should submit concept note for the intended project showing project description. tentative cost and revenue estimate.

V. The Investor may submit substantial documents

6.0 MODEL OF APPLICATION
I. The Investor has to submit covering letter and documents instructed in 4.0 above.
II. The duly signed expression of interest documents should be submitted on o• before 15 December 2022.
