REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (CONSULTING SERVICES – INDIVIDUAL SELECTION) RE-ADVERTISEMENT

- This request for expression of interest follows the general procurement notice for the project that appeared in the United Nations Development Business Issue No. WB5803 – 12/06 of December 21 2016
- The government of the United Republic of Tanzania though the Ministry of water has received financing from the world bank towards the cost of the water support project which is part of the second water development program and intend to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services
- The individual services includes consultant to support WRCOE core teams as the water resources management expert and modeler. The main objective of the centre is to enhance the water resources management knowledge base and it is utilization across relevant sector. The function and responsibilities shall include but not limited to enhancement of the water resource management knowledge base and its utilization across relevant sector facilitation of technical exchange and data harmonization across sectors to support joint decision making and development of relevant decision support tools promoting and conducting action-oriented and demand driven applied reserah in water resources planning and management regulators, policy makers wider public etc. in order to create the much needed critical mass of expertise knowledgeable in WRM and development process for the successful delivery of projects and programs
- The ministry of water now invites eligible individual consultant to express their interest in providing the above mentioned services. The evaluation criteria shall include but not limited to
i. consultant shall have minimum of 10 yrs overall experience in water resources management and modeling
ii. master’s degree in water resources or environmental engineering/hydrology/climatology or any equivalent qualification with background of bachelor degree in water resources or environmental engineering hydrology/climatology from a recognized university - the attention of interested consultant is drawn to paragraphy1.9 of the world bank’s guideline selection and employment of consultants under (IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants) by world bank borrowers January 2011 revised July 2014 (consultant guideline) setting forth the world bank policy on conflict of interest
- a consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the world bank guidelines selection and employment of consultant by world bank dated January 2011 revised July 2014
- interested consultants may obtain further information at the address below during office hours from8 am to 15 30 Pm Monday to Friday inclusive except public holidays
- expression of interest marked” CONSULTANCY SERVICE FOR INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANT TO SUPPORT THE WORCOE TEAM AS THE WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT EXPERT MODELLER” should be delivered in a written form to the address below in person or by courie or by email by 9th March 2020 before 00:00 hours local time
