REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR PROVISION OF SERVICES FOR BULK EARTHWORKS CONSTRUCTION

Fara Graphite Corporation Limited (FGCL) to a joint venture company formed via the Framework Agreement signed on 13th December 2021 between Mahenge Resources Limited (MRL), owning 84 % and the Government of Tanzania (GoT), owning 16 % Free Carried Interest for the development of the Graphite deposits in Morogoro Region. Under the Framework Agreement tennis, FGCL has been formality established to develop the Mabenge Graphite Mining Project.
FGCL invites experienced and reputable contactors with demonstrable capability and willingness to perform the related ‘works to express their interest in providing Bulk Earthworks services as defined in the Scope of Work.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SCOPE OF WORK
The Bulk Earthworks Scope of Works for the Mahenge Graphite Project (GP) includes the following project facilities.
- Process plant, including diversion drain and process water dam .
- Access roads, internal roads. non-process building pads and drainage.
- Mining workshop & staging area.
- Power station pad.
- Tailings dry stack storage facility, including diversion drains, channels and water catchment sum ps.
- Raw water dam and spillway.
- Explosives magazine area.
- Accommodation village area.
In general, within the referenced facilities, the scope of work will include:
- Clearing, grubbing, topsoil excavation and stockpiling in areas not already cleared by the Company.
- Bulk excavation and filling within site.
- Loading. bailage and placement of fill.
- Haulage and disposal of surplus excavated material.
- Construction of cut-off drains.
- Construction of drainage and diversion channels.
The above services are intended to be awarded through a competitive tendering process. A restricted number of suitable qualified and experienced contactors shall be invited to receive the tender document. If your Company would like to be considered for pre-qualification to receive an invitation to tender. please submit an “Expression of Interest” on your Company’s letterhead together with the following required documents:

- Certified Copy of current detailed BRELA standard search.
- Demonstrate compliance with The Mining (Local Content) Regulations. 2018 by having the Local Content

2. EXPERIENCE and CAPABILITY
- Overview of your recent Earthworks experience with clients and projects of this scale, nature, and location.
- Details of workload projection for the next six to twelve months in terms of projects.
- Brief method statement of bow your Company would execute the balk earthworks services.
- Curriculum Vitae outlining years of service and experience of key personnel assigned to the project.
- List of Client references for similar work completed.
- Outline of proposed organizational and project structure to which the project will be governed.
- Outline of resources with experience related to the scope of work (CV’s and project reference).
- Outline of resource pool categorized as indirect. project supervision and direct labour.
3. FINANCIAL POSITION AND TERMS OF TRADE
- Financial capacity to complete the required services, including audited and certified financial statements(2019-2021).
- At least one (1) reference from the applicant’s banker regarding their credit positon.
4. SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
- Certified OSHA Com Patience Certificate.
- Certified Workers Compensation Fund Certificate’ any proof of compliance.
