The United Nations International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (IRMCT) hereby solicits
Expression of Interest (EOI) from qualified companies for the additional installation of smoke detectors,
maintenance and repair services (“Services”) and related expertise, tools, materials, supplies, spare parts
and consumables (“Resources”) for its advanced-make hard-wired fire detection system (“Fire Detection
System”) at its branch in Arusha, Tanzania
Description of General Requirements:

  1. The IRMCT is looking to establish a contract for the aforementioned Services and related Resources for its Fire Detection System. The IRMCT Fire Detection System currently includes (but is not limited to) the following equipment purchased, installed and commissioned for service on 01 December 2016:
    1.1 Smoke Detectors – Part number 20-LV100-ADV
    1.2 Aspiration Smoke Detectors – Part number ASD531 + 20-VMIC100-ADC
    1.3 Fire Alarm Control Panels – Part number MX-5101V
    1.4 Fire Alarm Repeater Panel – Part number MX-5020
    1.5 Heat Detectors – Part number 20-LV350-ADV
    1.6 Manual Call Points – Part number 20-VCP100-ADV
    1.7 Sounders – Part number AXIS-WSM + VTB-32E-SB-RB-RL
  2. The successful contractor will be required to extend the detection system by installing similar smoke detectors and cables.
  3. The resultant contract will be initially for a period of three (3) years (“Initial Period”) with the option to extend for two (2) additional periods of one (1) year each (“1st and 2nd Optional Extensions”) at the sole discretion of the IRMCT and subject to the satisfactory performance of the Contractor PD/EOI/MISSION v2018-01 SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS / INFORMATION (IF ANY) Interested companies are invited to submit their EOI by courier, email or hand delivery as indicated below. The EOI must include, as a minimum, the following documentation/information:
  4. As a mandatory requirement for IRMCT, before submitting an EOI, interested companies are required to be fully registered as a supplier on the UN Global Marketplace (UNGM) using the link https://www.ungm.org. Registration is free of charge. As you express interest in the planned solicitation by submitting your EOI, please verify end ensure that your company is registered under its full legal name with the UN Secretariat on the UNGM. We strongly recommend all companies to register at least at Level 1 under the UN Secretariat prior to participating in any solicitations.
  5. Proof that the company is registered for this particular requirement in UNGM under UN Standard Products and Services Codes (UNSPSC) 72151703 – Fire detection and burglar alarm systems installation
    service.
  6. Company’s full profile which must include physical address, contact person, telephone/fax numbers, e-mail and a website.
  7. Proof/evidence of at least two (2) similar projects successfully undertaken by the company in the last five (5) years. Companies are to provide the below details of similar type/capacity projects:
    4.1 Project Name
    4.2 Description of the work and technical details
    4.3 Client address and contact details (telephone numbers and email address)
    4.4 Contract amount and duration
  8. Confirm ability/readiness to work in the Republic of Tanzania. International companies will be required to obtain local business registration or an operating license to provide the Upgrade Services if they do not have local partners or sub-contractors.
  9. IRMCT Procurement Section shall reject any EOI that does not contain the final UNGM vendor registration number under the specified UNSPSC along with the submissions listed in paragraphs 2-5

above as such submissions may be considered non-responsive.
This REOI does not constitute a solicitation. IRMCT reserves the right to change or cancel the requirements at any time during the REOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a response to this REOI does not automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. The EOI, clearly marked “Provision of Installation and Maintenance Services and related Resources for the IRMCT’s Fire Detection System at its Branch in Arusha, Tanzania” must be received by IRMCT no later than Friday, 06 September 2019 at 12:00 hours local time in the Republic of Tanzania (GMT or UTC +3), via email to [email protected]; with [email protected] in copy.
