Assignment Title: Consultancy services for conducting Environmental and Social [impact Assessment [ESIA] of the proposed construction of Teaching and Hostel buildings at Des Es Salaam institute of Technology Main Campus.

The Dar Es salaam Institute at Technology through the Government of Tanzania has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the East Africa Skills for Transformation and Regional ‘integration Project: (EASTRIP), and intends to apply pert of the proceeds for Consultancy services for conducting Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA! of the proposed construction of Teaching and Hostel buildings at Dar Es Salaam Institute of Technology Main Campus.
The consulting services (“the Services| include conducting the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESCA) studies for proposed construction of Teaching and Hostel buildings at Dar Es Salaam Institute of Technology Main Campus The Actual time required to complete the whole of the ESIA study including the issuing of the ESIA Certificate by the responsible Authority is maximum of four months.

The Dar Es Salaam Institute of Technology now invites eligible consulting firms(“ Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the said Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required. Qualifications, certificates and relevant experiences to perform the services. the shortlisting criteria are;
(a)The firm experience in conduct ESIA studies and have undertaken at least three (3) environment impact Assessment in the last five [5] years
(b) The firm should be in related business at least five (5) years
(c) The firm should indicate availability of technical staff
(d) The firm should have managed two (2) contract of act at least five (5) years
NOTE: Key Experts will not be evaluated at the short listing stage.
The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3.14. 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers July 2016, revised November 2017, setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
Consultants may associate with other firms to enhance their qualifications, but should indicate clearly whether the association in the form of a joint venture and/or a sub-consultancy. In the case of a joint venture, all the partners in the joint venture shall be jointly and severally liable for the entire contract, If selected
A consultant will be selected in accordance with the Consultant’s Qualification based Selection (CQS) method set out in the Procurement Regulation
