CRDB Bank PLC is an African bank and a leading financial services provider in Tanzania with a
current presence in Tanzania, Burundi, and soon moving to Congo DRC, East Africa. CRDB Bank Plc is looking for a service provider to provide Catering Services for its Head Office staff. The Catering Company will be required to serve at least 1200 staff daily in the building.
Critical Criteria for Selection:
Capability – Based on staff population to be served, number of meals, food quality and
management of all associated services connected to the kitchen/catering services.
Experience in similar services and companies with more or fewer sizes like CRDB Bank Plc.
Quality assurance
Food prices as per the menu attached in the RFP document

Staff Population and Kitchen operation
The building occupies a total of about 1200 staff. The kitchen and the canteen are expected to
operate from 0700hrs to 0900hrs for breakfast and from 1200hrs to 1400hrs for lunch. Therefore, the caterer needs to have the capacity to serve 1200 staff for about two hours for breakfast and two
hours for lunch.
Number of Meals per Day
Head Office staff’s official working hours are from 0800hrs to 1700hrs, Monday to Friday. Taking that into account the kitchen/canteen is expected to serve staff breakfast and lunch.
Type of Menu
The menu has been prepared, and the food selection has mainly based on staff preferences as
observed in the current canteen. Also, some other preferences which are not currently offered have been considered (a complete list of proposed menus is attached with the full RFP document on the
website)

Service standards
Service is required Monday to Friday throughout the year, except on Public Holidays.
Service must be prompt, friendly and efficient, recognising the needs and circumstances of the
customer.
It is essential that the service provider (caterer) is flexible and responsive to the service needs of the Bank. Changes may be required at relatively short notice.

As part of the technical and financial evaluation of proposals, please indicate the following
details in your proposal:
Submit a Company Profile
Submit a detailed relevant experience with evidence attached (Contract, LPO, Recommendation letters), including customers served before and the type of work undertaken
Location of regional offices (HQ & Branches, if Any)
Annual reports/audited financial reports for the past three (3) years
The current Annual return certificate for Tanzania companies is obtained from BRELA.
Submit legal and business certificates with the Regulatory, Government Board or Agency
certificate required for such goods/services.
Visit/view of the facility on weekdays during normal working hours (0900 Hours to 1500 Hours) from January 19th , 2023, to January 31st , 2023.
Submit all bids and quotations in electronic form. Tenders should be sent to

The deadline for submission of the proposals will be before 1500 hours local time on February
3rd 2023. All bids/quotations will be opened in public on the same date from 1530 hours; the
online presence of bider is allowed via the link available on the Bank’s website.
Opening of the submitted bids/quotes will be done online via a link to be found on the Bank
website. The opening date is scheduled on February 3rd 2023, at 1530 hrs.
Late bids/tenders, a portion of bids/tenders, Tenders not submitted, not opened and not read out in public at the Tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation, irrespective of the circumstances.
