Introduction:
Railway Children Africa is a Ron- Governmental Organization (NGO) registered in Tanzania working to support Children and Youth Working and Living in the Street (CYWLS). In Tanzania we have offices in Mwanza and Dar es salaam. Railway Children Africa is also an affiliate of Railway Children a charity based in the UK. Our annual turnover is approximately USD I.05M and our expenses consists of grants to partners, employee related costs, Programme activities costs, and costs incurred in developing the partners. Purpose & Scope of work:
Railway Children Africa invites interested,
competent, registered, and reputable Medium to large Audit firm (Including current services provider) registered in Tanzania by MA to submit their REP focused on audit of our financial statements and our conformance with accounting principles and IPSAS and thereafter process tax returns to be filled to statutory authorities in the country. The first assignment will take place from January 2023.
The work to be performed include but not limited to:
• Examine RCA financial transactions to ensure supporting documents are accurate, reliable, and free of material misstatement.
• Assess the overall presentation of RCA financial statements and make sure they are in accordance with the approved budgets and in accordance with I PSAS.
• Examine effectiveness of systems, policies and procedures that were in place during the audit period.
• Review payroll and benefits administration to ensure they comply with RCA own requirements, local labour, and applicable laws.
• Review prior year audit findings and their implementation status.
• Complete the secondary auditor questionnaire and report results and findings of work to our UK auditors in line with overall reporting timetable.
• Visit at least 2 selected RCA implementing partners based in Mwanza, Dodoma or Dar es salaam and review transactions, systems, and other
compliance requirements. This will be agreed in advance with auditors on which partner to review.
Firm Proposal Requirements:
A proposal should be written in. English and contain:
Firms’ information, address, contact person, registered NBAA number, TRA TIN, VRN and other relevant registration information.
• Give brief history of your firm, including audit practice, audit methodology, tools, and
technology as well as the team and their qualification.
• Number of for profit, public and not for profit clients for which you provide audit or tax services.
• Details of professional education (CPE) held by the team or firm.
• Provide at least 2 client references with organization name and contact information.
• ?lease add your other relevant information as deemed necessary.
Fees:
Please provide a detailed fee proposal, including how fees are calculated. If there are other services, you intended to impose additional fees please specify. Indicate timeline of conducting the exercise and quote all fees in either TZS, USD, or GBP.

• This is not an open bid but rather a solicitation of pre-qualified vendors who will be contracted to offer services to Railway Children Africa. Railway Children Africa reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal and is not bound to give reasons for its decision.
