Who we are
CEFA – The Seed of Solidarity is an Interna:onal Non-Governmental Organiza:on that has been working in Tanzania to support rural communi:es and people with disabili:es (PWD) for over 40 years.
Within the framework of the project “SHINE: Suppor,ng Health, Social Inclusion, Nutri,on and
Empowerment” (AID012590/09/01) funded by the Italian Agency for Development Coopera:on (AICS), CEFA Tanzania is working to promote voca:onal training opportuni:es and employment inclusion of PWD in Dar es Salaam.
Scope of work and objec8ves
CEFA is looking for a Small-Business Development Expert to draw up an effec:ve produc:on and sales strategy to launch income-genera:ng ac:vi:es (IGAs) within one of the partner centres.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Business Development expert will be asked to:
• Conduct a preliminary assessment of the centre’s capacity and produc:on poten:al.
• Conduct a preliminary market survey
• Iden:fy the most suitable products
• Create a produc:on schedule to op:mise efficiency and produc:on capacity
• Prepare a detailed budget
• Formulate a marke:ng plan
• Monitor and evaluate the IGAs
• Provide periodic reports and the final the business plan.
Skills and abili8es required
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifica:ons and skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Marke:ng, Business Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing small business development projects or IGAs.
• In-depth knowledge of market research techniques and business planning.
• Ability to work independently and manage challenges associated with IGA development.
• Results-oriented with strong aden:on to detail.
