SUBMISSION OF BENEFICIAL OWNERESHIP INFORMATION
Business Registrations and Licensing Agency (BRELA) reminds all local companies that the deadline for submission of declarations on Beneficial Ownership information is on 30th June, 2022. The declarations should be submitted online via BRELA Website (bo.Brela.go.tz).
The Government through the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade in January 2022 extended the submission period for six months (6), to enable compliance with the requirement of the law.
Declaration of the Beneficial Ownership information is important in order to improve the investment climate, prevent corruption and illicit financial flows, reduce reputational risks, improve the rule of law, increase trust and accountability and enhance revenue collection.
BRELA urges Companies that have not submitted their Beneficial Ownership information to do so within the remaining time in order to avoid unnecessary burdens.
