SOS Children’s Villages Tanzania is a non-government organization affiliated to SOS Children’s Villages International, a worldwide childcare and protection organization that provides orphaned and destitute children with a permanent home and educational opportunities. Established 70 years ago, SOS Children’s Villages International – the umbrella organization, currently has Children’s Villages and other projects in 135 countries around the world. Globally, it runs the SOS Children’s Village Programme, which has two main arms, i.e. Family Based Care based at SOS Children’s Villages and Family Strengthening Programmes supporting families in local communities. SOS Children’s Villages has been working in the United Republic of Tanzania since 1991 and implements its programs in Zanzibar, Arusha, Dar es Salaam, Mwanza and Iringa. SOS Children’s Villages Tanzania invites applications from all interested individuals, organisations, company and/the public in a sealed bidding process to submit a proposal for the supply and delivery of two brand new units of Motor Vehicles based on the specifications, requirement and terms set forth in this Invitation for Bid (IFB).
DESCRIPTION OF ASSETS.
Double Cabin 5 seater, Engine 2.4L TD, RHD, Transmission M/T, 4WD (4×4), Fuel type is Diesel, 8OL fuel tank capacity, (Airbags and Air conditioning), White Colour OR Double Cabin 5 seater, Engine 2.8L TD, RHD, Transmission M/T, 4WD (4×4), Fuel type is Diesel, 80L fuel tank capacity, (Airbags and Air conditioning), White Colour.
NOTE:
1. Completed tender document should be submitted in a plain sealed envelope and physically deposited in the tender box situated at the SOS National Office Reception, so as to be received on or before Thursday 16th December 2021 at 13.00hrs. Electronic submissions are not accepted.
2. Every bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the bid reference number indicated on the envelope stating clearly the specification and photo of the vehicles, clearly marked in Bold Letters: “SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF NEW MOTOR VEHICLES: REF: SOS/PURCHASE/MV/2021/02” addressed to:

3. The delivery will be at SOS Children’s Villages Zanzibar, Amani Road, and Mombasa Street — Zanzibar.
4. The selected vendor will deliver the vehicle with full registration under SOS Children’s Villages Zanzibar after all duty clearance are completed.
It is the responsibility of each bidder to ensure that bids are submitted in accordance with the instructions as stipulated in the advert, as non-compliance to the instructions will lead to disqualification and rejection of the bid. Please note that, award of contract will be per SOS Children’s Village Procurement policy and successful bidder will be communicated formally.
